Although you can use many Places.com features without registering, registration allows you to start creating your database of places and contacts. Registration is easy. Click the black bar on the right edge of your browser to open the Places.com app.

To register, start by tapping the Register button at the bottom of the screen. A screen like the one below should open. (The Register button will not appear when you are logged in. You must log out first.)

1. Enter your email address in the first box. 2. Enter the 4 digit year you were born. You must be at least 13 years old to register. 3. Enter a password. 4. Tap the Submit Registration button. You will be taken immediately to the login screen. 5. Check your email for an email with a 4-digit confirmation code. Report a Problem

First Time Logging In

The first time you log in you will be asked for both your password and your confirmation code. Although you do not need your confirmation code to log in, it is recommended you confirm your email address as soon as possible. Until you confirm your email address, you will be asked for the confirmation code when logging in, and your check-ins will begin with a double asterisk when displayed for others.

After logging in and confirming your email address once, you will not need your confirmation code to log in again.

Logging In

After you have logged in once, logging in from then on is easy. Tap the Log In botton at the bottom.

Logging Out

To log out, tap the Log Out button and confirm you want to log out. There are two log out buttons, one at the bottom of the scrollable screen, and the other on the More… screen.

Method 1. Bottom of Scrollable Screen
	1. Scroll to the bottom of any screen. 2. Tap the gray Log Out button on the right. 3. Tap OK to confirm. Report a Problem

Method 2. Top of “More…”screen
	1. Tap the blue More… button at the bottom right of the screen. 2. Tap the gray Log Out button in the upper right corner of the scrollable screen. 3. Tap OK to confirm. Report a Problem

Delete Registration

Deleting your registration deletes all your check-ins, contacts, pictures and registration information. If you delete your registration, none of your personal information is retained and you can re-register again any time.

There are two steps to deleting your registration.

Step 1. Enable Delete Account Function

1. Open the Settings screen by tapping Settings on the bottom of the screen. 2. Open the Personal Settings screen by tapping the Personal Settings button at the top. 3. Scroll down and change Delete Account to Enabled. 4. Type your password in the Current Password box below. 5. Tap the Save Changes button. 6. An alert box will appear confirming your change. Tap OK 7. Proceed to Step 2 below to complete the deletion process.

Step 2. Delete Account Following Step 1, the Delete Account drop-down menu should now include a Delete Account Now choice.
	1. Scroll down and change Delete Account to Delete Account Now. 2. Type your password in the Current Password box below. 3. Tap the Save Changes button. 4. An alert box will appear confirming your change. Tap OK Report a Problem

A dialog box will display a summary of what was deleted.

Cancel Account Delete Account
At any time you can cancel the delete process.

1. Scroll down and change Delete Account to Disabled. 2. Tap the Save Changes button. You do not have to enter your password. 3. An alert box will appear confirming your change. Tap OK Report a Problem

To re-register, first tap the Refresh button in the upper left corner of the screen. This will erase any residual memory of your account’s previous existence on your device.
